The Worship Planning Team put together a wonderful experiential worship service for Aug. 6, centering on the theme, “The Hope of Fresno.” Congregation members spent time during the service visiting various interactive stations. Thank you, Terry, for putting your beautiful photos together into this video.
E.J. Hinojosa, our music director, is pleased to announce the Fresno Composer Showcase. This concert event will feature choral music written by four of Fresno’s many talented local composers, performed by local choral artists.
The four composers featured on this program are Kevin Memley, Matthew Wheeler, Maxton Vieira and E.J. Hinojosa. The concert will be held in the sanctuary of Community UCC at 7:30 p.m. July 15.
A $5 admission fee is payable at the door. Join us for an evening of good music and good company!

Our Sanctuary was ablaze with red on June 4, both in the vivid decorations of the church and in the dress of our members.
We welcomed five new members to our congregation. We broke bread together during communion, and following the service, we gathered for the annual meeting, where church members approved the budget for the 2017-18 year, and approved two other motions.
May the energy and vibrancy of yesterday’s worship carry us into this next week and into our church congregation’s next year of church life.

More than 20 members of our congregation came out to show their support for the Gay Pride Parade in Fresno’s Tower District on June 3. Thanks to Terry Cole, who shot this video from today’s event.
The Fresno Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, June 3rd. The Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. at the North East corner of Olive and Palm and goes to Maroa.
We need 2 people for one hour from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We also need your help to set up the booth at about 8:00 a.m. and to take it down at 3:00p.m. It is a great and easy way to connect with the community and let everyone know that our church is Open and Affirming.
